| Beth McLenaghan: | I used a digital camera and made some dousing rods to try. On the initial walk-through of the house, I felt nothing except in the "nursery"- when I walked out, I had a really _bad_feeling, and was so uncomfortable in the room I had to leave. When we first returned downstairs, I repeatedly heard static from a radio that's reported to come on by itself, but that was proven to be a poor electrical connection. Several times during the evening we tried the dousing rods, and asked multiple questions about a little girl, and also about a lady. Later in the evening, we used a Ouija board, and twice during that experience I felt an overwhelming sadness, and as though there was a presence directly behind me. I also felt a heavy fatigue and weariness.
Beth | | Hugh McLenaghan: | This was an interesting house. Again on this investigation I didn't feel anything or see anything. When we went up to the house at first the radio was off, but when the owner came to let us in it was playing! Apparently this happens quite often, where it turns on itself. This is an older radio and it is a heavy toggle switch that needs to be moved 2 positions from off to radio. I've seen nothing so far on video (got 50% done so far). I didn't feel anything in the house at all. Beth, Miranda and I were sitting on the floor in a smaller bedroom (not the nursery) dowsing. Beth had her back towards the door. The light was on in the hallway bathroom. There is a closet across from the bathroom. I saw a shadow quickly go from the bathroom and go through the closet door. I saw this out of the corner of my eye. In this same room, I felt like someone was playing with the back of my hair. I have short hair, but it felt like someone was running the hand through the back of my hair. This is all that I felt or saw.
The motion detectors went off several times, but it picked up the doors through the house being shut by us. The laser thermometer didn't pick up anything out of the norm.
I have reviewed my videos that were filmed in the "nursery". Nothing paranormal was caught on tape, just us walking back and forth and us making noise. I also took a roll of pictures of the entire house and didn't get a thing. | | Becky Ray: | For the most part, this just seemed like an ordinary house.
However, when I first walked up to the house, I did not hear a radio playing, but when we approached to enter, the radio was so loud, we could hear it clearly on the porch. Just an observation.
On our first walk through of the home, I felt a cold spot in the nursery near the window facing the backyard. I commented on it, and a couple of the others present felt it as well. I checked for vents, but none were near there. I also checked around the window for a draft, but didn't find one. The weather made it impossible for a draft to have been this cool anyway.
I am still viewing my video tapes and developing film. | | Miranda Stark: | When we first arrived, the owners had not arrived yet. Becky went to the front door, to see if perhaps anyone was in the house. She said the lights were all off, and there was not a noise from inside. Shortly thereafter Kelli and I got out of the car to stretch our legs, and were walking around the house, and standing on the porch. We paused briefly, to listen to what we thought may have been the sound of voices. As we neared the window on the front porch we realized that there was music playing inside the house. Becky said that there had been nothing like that when she was around the porch by herself. When the owners arrived we mentioned this to them, they said that there is a radio in the house that they sometimes listen to when working, and painting. They make a mental note when they leave and lock up to always turn that radio off, but often upon returning to the house the radio will usually be on.
When we went inside, we did discover that there are some electrical shorts in the radio, which cause it to static, and act erratically, but when the radio is shut off the switch must be pushed into the "off" position, so to find the radio switched to the "on" position is still rather odd. Besides this, I felt or noticed nothing out of the ordinary here. We did feel a cold spot in "Sallie's room".
But I don't have anything by means of anomalous photos, or video. |
